The FISHERMAN Seafood Trail, the company trademark, gives a unique experience of slow travel. In Suðureyri, nobody is in a hurry – except when it comes to fresh fish! Walking through this tiny village visitors get a glympse of the life of the people that have built this self sustained community. While stolling the streets, there is also a few surprises on the way that get your tastebuds going. Here, at the edge of the arctic, the fish doesn ́t get any fresher. This is your chance to hear about life in a small fishing village at the edge of the Arctic Circle. We offer tours exploring small fishing village in the Westfjords where you can get a glimpse of our fishing heritage, nature and taste some seafood with a local guide. This guided day tour brings you closer to our historical and modern fishing lifestyle, while walking through a charming fishing village and stunning landscapes.
